Things to do in Sheffield in June

Welcome to June! Yep, we’re also wondering where the first half of this year has gone. But time flies when you’re having fun and there’s plenty more of that to be had in Sheffield this month….

1. Dirty Dancing, Lyceum Theatre
Dirty Dancing is back! Exploding with heart-pounding music, breathtaking emotion and of course, super sexy dancing. 2. Kings of Leon, Sheffield Arena
American rock legends, Kings of Leon, will be returning for the fifth time to perform at Sheffield Arena on 10th June. The band will perform songs from their latest album WALLS, which went straight to number one in the UK chart. The confirmed support act is local South Yorkshire band The Sherlocks, who are well revered for their raucous live shows. Tickets start at £49.50 and are available on the Sheffield Arena website:

3. Pop-Up Vintage Market, The Moor Market
Fancy a bit of retail therapy? On 17th June, tons of lovely stalls at The Moor Market will be selling everything from vintage clothing and antique furniture to Sheffield made gifts, local artisan pickles and retro phones. 4. Jimmy Car, Sheffield City Hall

5. Music in the Gardens, Sheffield Botanical Gardens
Music in the Gardens returns for another year from 29th June – 3rd July. The line up features The Zombies, 10cc, The Bootleg Beatles and a very special Night At The Movies performed by the Sheffield Philharmonic Orchestra.
