Mamma Mia at the Theatre Royale, Newcastle upon Tyne
The smash hit musical is coming to Newcastle! Dubbed the ‘ultimate feel good show’ and featuring all of your favourite ABBA songs to sing along to, this enchanting tale of love, laughter and friendship is definitely not one to be missed. Evening and matinee performances will be on at the Theatre Royale until 15th April, but act fast if you want tickets as they’re selling out quickly.

Craft and Food Fayre at Sunderland Museum and Winter Gardens
How about some wholesome Saturday fun at the Sunderland Museum and Winter Gardens’ Craft and Food fayre on 22nd April? Entry is free (yippee!) and you can expect to find a range of quality crafts, cakes, artisan foods and more.

3D Selfie at FabLab
Here’s something a bit different for you… 3D Selfie printing. On 20th April, you can book a slot at the FabLab to be 3D scanned by the team who will then use their 3D printer to create a 3D model of your face (you even get to choose what colour it will be)! The event is completely free so why not give it a go and blow your selfie game out of the water.

Hit the North Festival in Newcastle upon Tyne
Another Newcastle event but one too good not to mention! Hit the North Festival will take place on 28th April and features acts from artists including Lethal Bizzle, Slaves and Frightened Rabbit. You can buy a ticket for the whole festival or pick and choose which acts you see by purchasing individual tickets. If you’re heading back to Uni after the Easter Break this is the perfect welcome back!

Mixtape at The Dun Cow
If Hit the North isn’t your thing and you fancy some giggles instead, infamous sketch troupe Mixtape will be coming to the The Dun Cow on 28th April. Described as a music quiz comedy sketch show like no other, Mixtape have sold out shows at the Edinburgh Fringe festival and will now bring their unique brand of comedy to Sunderland.
